Mauna Kea Sleeps No More

After a day full of ceremony and prayer on the lower elevation of Mauna Kea, Liko arrived -- on foot -- at the ceremonial "roadblock" (it should be noted that the police blocked the road first!) at the summit, which successfully halted the ground breaking of the planned TMT Telescope, an 18-story monster that our community has been fighting with great passion and aloha.

Liko helped to close the ceremony with inspirational renditions of "Hawaiʻi Loa/All Hawaiʻi Stands Together" and "When Mauna Kea Sleeps No More."  This was truly a blessed event -- mahalo nui to all who participated and supported!
